Change car during the trip
If you use GreenMobility’s electric cars for several hours or days, you are not bound to one particular car. You are free to switch between several cars – or continue the trip when you arrive in one of our other cities in Europe.
With GreenMobility’s hour and day package, you can switch cars during your trip. The hour and day packages make it easy to have a car for a total of 3 hours and up to 7 days. The packages can be combined and can be used across several cars – and cities.
If you have bought a day package to go to the city, go for a long walk and maybe end up in a completely different place in the city, you do not have to go back to the same car. Instead, you can end your trip in the app and thereby make the car available to other users. When you need to drive again, you can find a new car nearby in the app. The package is still running, and you automatically continue the trip on the package when you open a new car.
“We want to make it as easy as possible for our users to have a car when they need it, and let others use it when they no longer need it. This means that the cars are fully utilized and do not take up space in the cities,” says Thomas Heltborg Juul, CEO at GreenMobility.
As soon as you have ended a trip in the app, the car is available to a new user who can use the car in the meantime. In this way, you help to ensure the best utilization of the car, while being away from it.
Start a package in Denmark and continue in a new city
As a GreenMobility user, you can use the app in all the cities in which GreenMobility exists. The app works in the same way in all the cities; find a car nearby in the app, unlock it and drive.
In the same way, you can also buy an hour or day package in Denmark, drive to the airport, hop on an airplane and continue on the same package in one of GreenMobility’s other cities. If you for example travel to Brussels in the future, you can find a car at Brussels airport and easily get into the city center on the package you started in Denmark.
If you are taking a trip to Malmö in the future, you can also drive to Copenhagen Central Station, park the car and continue on the train to Malmö. Here, you can find a new car and continue on the same package, for instance to a summerhouse in Sweden.
“GreenMobility’s electric cars will be a real, green mobility solution across Europe. Therefore, our goal is to open in 35 European cities by 2025, so you can continue your journey and drive more sustainably in even more cities,” says Thomas Heltborg Juul, CEO at GreenMobility.
35 European cities have already pre-approved GreenMobility as a potential partner, and by 2021 GreenMobility plans to open 4-6 new cities.
GreenMobility exists in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Malmö and Gothenburg in Sweden, Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent in Belgium and Helsinki in Finland.

What about “Stopover”?
Maybe you are used to using the “Stopover” function when you buy a package and need to park during the trip. “Stopover” is the button you press in the app when you need to keep the same car while you for instance are away from it. If you use “Stopover”, the car locks until you continue the trip in the app in the same car. If, on the other hand, you want to continue the trip in another car, then end the trip in the app, and start a new trip in another car. If you drive on an hour or day package, the package is still running no matter if you continue the trip in the same car or a new one.
