Top-up kroner replaces prepaid minutes
The biggest change in the new app is that prepaid minutes turn into Top-up kroner. Here’s everything you need to know about this smart new way to save:
What changes?
In the new app, you can top up your profile with kroner instead of minutes. You can for instance, add DKK 300 to your profile to drive for but only pay DKK 249. This way, you get a discount on your trips — regardless of the car type you choose.
When you top up your profile with Top-up kroner, they can be used as payment for all your trips. Going forward, you will also receive Top-up kroner instead of minutes when you charge a car with less than 60% battery or invite friends.
Your prepaid minutes will be converted
If you have prepaid minutes on your profile when the app is updated, they will be converted into Top-up kroner. We multiply your prepaid minutes by DKK 5,50, which is our standard minute price. For example, if you have 200 prepaid minutes in your profile, they will be converted into DKK 1.100 in the new app.
New benefits with Top-up kroner
In the new app, you can use your kroner to pay for trips in all car types, including Polestar and ID. Buzz in Copenhagen, which is a new and highly beneficial feature. Additionally, they can be used for trips in cars that already have a reduced minute price, allowing you to drive even more affordably.
If you have activated an hour or day package for your trip, your top-up kroner from your profile will not be used as payment.
Top up your profile and save
In the app, under Wallet, you can choose between three different amounts to add to your profile. Each option can be purchased at a lower price than the amount you receive. For example, you can drive for DKK 300 after paying only DKK 249. This way, you benefit from a discount on your trip.
Can I get Top-up kroner as a reward?
Yes, you get rewards in the following ways:
🔋 Charge a car – Charge a car with less than 60% battery after your trip and earn up to 90 Top up-kroner.
🎁 Plus Zone bonus – Start your trip in a Plus Zone and earn. The amount varies depending on the zone.
🤝 Invite a friend – Get 100 Top-up kroner as a reward when your friend joins GreenMobility and drives their first trip.
🚘 FreeMobility trips – Get a reward when taking selected FreeMobility trips.
⏰ Special promotions – Look out for limited-time offers where you can get a reward to your Wallet.
Is the amount automatically drawn from my profile?
Yes, if you have earned or purchased Top-up kroner in your Wallet, they will automatically be used as payment for your trip—unless you have activated an hour or day package for the given trip. You can always check your balance in your Wallet in the app.
Top up your profile and enjoy more freedom on the go! 🚗⚡
Other changes
⏰ 20 minutes reservation time
With the new app, you’ll automatically get 20 free minutes when reserving a car. Need more time? You can easily extend your reservation in the app for just 1 DKK per extra minute.
✅ Filter on car models
You spoke, and we listened! In the new app, it will now be possible to filter by car model, so you can easily find the car that fits your needs, for instance a Polestar 2, van, or ID. Buzz. Click the filter icon on the right side of the map in the app to see an overview of all available car models.
🛡 Activate reduced deductible under profile
In the new app, you can choose to activate a reduced deductible under your profile. Once activated, the reduced deductible will apply to all subsequent trips—as long as it remains selected—except when using an hour or day package. In those cases, the reduced deductible is chosen during the purchase.
If you do not activate reduced deductible under your profile, you will still have the option to do so each time you start a new trip.
The price for reduced deductible on regular trips remains DKK 29, lowering the deductible from DKK 5,000 to DKK 500. For hour and day packages, the price will vary depending on the selected rental period.
📡 Radar is back!
With Radar’s comeback, you can get an alert when a car becomes available nearby, making it even easier to grab a car at the right moment. Simply tap the Radar icon on the map to activate it.
💰 More discounted cars
All the new features will be available after the app launch on the 24th of March, 2026! 💚
FAQ – Answers to your questions
What happens if I have an ongoing trip during the update?
If your trip starts before the app update, you can continue driving as usual while we update the app. However, during this time, you won’t be able to end your trip, use the stopover function, purchase packages, or make other transactions in the app.
Can I start a trip during the app update?
No, unfortunately, you won’t be able to start a trip while the app is being updated. This is due to a major system upgrade, which means the app will be temporarily unavailable. We recommend using public transport, cycling, or other shared mobility services during this short downtime.
How do I access the new app?
From the 17th of March at 6 AM, you’ll need to update the GreenMobility app in the App Store or Google Play to continue using our service. The old version of the app will no longer be available after the update.
Will my charging or referral minutes be transferred to the new app?
Yes, all the minutes you have on your profile will be transferred to the new app, where they will be converted into kroner at DKK 5.50 per minute. They will therefore not lose their value.
When you put a car with less than 60% power left to charge after your trip after the app update, you will earn kroner instead of minutes. The new charging kroner is allocated as follows: Less than 60% power left = 30 kroner. Less than 40% power = 60 kroner. Less than 15% power = 90 kroner.
When you invite a friend who signs up for the GreenMobility app and takes their first trip, you will both get 100 kroner to drive for going forward.
