How to charge a Megane
We cover your electricity costs in Denmark. Charge for free at E.ON and Spiiri’s stations. First make sure the doors are unlocked. Open the charging port cover on the right side of the car by pressing the Renault logo on the cover. Take the charging cable out of the trunk of the car. Plug one side of the cable into the charging port of the car, and the other side into the charging station. Take the white charging fob with GreenMobility logo out of the holder under the gear shift. Hold the charging fob against the reader of the charging station until the light of the station turns green. As soon as the car starts charging, the light will switch to blue.Put the charging fob back in the holder under the gear shift. You can now end your trip (or make a stopover) in the app.
Want to disconnect a Megane from a charging station? Press the button with the plug to the left of the charging socket in the charging port. Then the cable is released.
FAQ about renting a Renault Megane
How do I make sure the Renault Megane I book has enough range for my trip?
In the app, you can see the car’s current battery level before reserving it. If you plan to drive a long distance, we recommend choosing a car with a high charge or planning a stop at a fast charger along the way.
Can I find fast chargers if I’m driving outside the major cities?
Yes, but availability varies. We recommend using charging apps such as E.ON or Spirii to plan your route and locate fast chargers in advance.
What should I do if charging takes longer than expected and I’m on a tight schedule?
Always use fast chargers (DC) to minimize charging time. If you experience delays, you can adjust your route or contact customer service for help finding an alternative charger.
Is the Renault Megane large enough for both a stroller and suitcases?
The Renault Megane has a spacious trunk that fits a standard stroller and several suitcases. If you have extra luggage, you can check the dimensions on our website or choose a car with even more capacity. See our car types here.
What happens if I need to keep the car longer than planned?
If you’ve paused your trip using the “Stopover” function in the app, the car remains reserved for you as long as you need it. Just remember that you still pay for your rental during “Stopover”. If you’re on an hour or day package, you can always extend your rental by purchasing a new package in the app and activating it before the current one expires.
