GreenMobility's cities: You can find us here

Since 2016, GreenMobility has expanded to eight European cities. Read about each city and see where you can use our electric cars in the future when you travel in Europe.

Eight cities, 950 electric cars and more than 120,000 users. If you travel to one of GreenMobility’s cities in the future, you can easily use our electric cars and open them in the app the same way as you usually do. In fact, you can buy an hour or day package in Denmark, drive to the airport and then continue the trip when you land in one of our cities. We have made it super easy to drive green in Europe. You just have to be aware of the traffic and parking rules that apply in the particular city – and of course, any corona restrictions that may occur in the current city.

Copenhagen - the first city

Copenhagen is the first city where GreenMobility has established a community with many thousands of users. In Copenhagen and the greater area of Copenhagen, there are 450 electric cars available in the zone, which stretches from Klampenborg in the north to Tårnby in the south and also includes the cities Lyngby, Gladsaxe, Vanløse, Valby, and Amager in the south. In Greater Copenhagen, there are almost thirty Hotspots with free parking for the electric cars, a recently the number of Hotspots also include Copenhagen Mall, Frederiksberg Centret, and DR Byen.

Aarhus - city of many smiles

By the end of 2019, it was time for further expansion. GreenMobility came to the city of smiles, Aarhus in Jutland, with 100 brand new electric cars and established Hotspots at, among others, Bruuns Galleri, Z-huset, and NRGi, which is GreenMobility’s partner when it comes to green power for the electric cars. Today, there are ten Hotspots in Aarhus and the newest Hotspots are at Incuba in the IT city of Katrinebjerg, at Incuba at Skejby Hospital close to the maternity ward and in Stavtrup, a small town just outside Aarhus. The zone in Aarhus runs along the coast to Risskov in the north, Skejby, Aarhus West and Viby, Slet, and Bakker in the south. If you land in Aarhus with Nordic Seaplanes, you can easily find an electric car and drive to the city center.

Malmö - our Swedish neighbors

In June 2020, a team of employees from the various departments in GreenMobility traveled to Sweden to drive 100 electric cars out on the streets, so that they could be ready for the Swedish neighbors. In Malmö, there are four Hotspots where you can park for free. From Denmark, you can easily drive to the neighboring country in a GreenMobility car, and in collaboration with the Øresund Bridge, we have made it possible to drive over the bridge for only DKK 200 per way. However, the car must not be left in Sweden, but must always return to its original zone in Denmark.

Gothenburg - the second-largest city in Sweden

Gothenburg is Sweden’s second-largest city with more than 500,000 inhabitants. We opened in Gothenburg and Malmö the same day with 100 new electric cars on the streets of each city on a sunny day in June 2020. In Gothenburg, there are almost ten Hotspots available for the Swedish population, where you can park your GreenMobility car for free. If you land at Landvetter Airport only 20 minutes from Gothenburg, you can easily find a free car and drive into the city center and return to the airport again.

Antwerp - GreenMobility expands towards south

GreenMobility expanded for the first time further south in Europe in September 2020 and opened in Antwerp and Ghent in Belgium. In Antwerp, there are 150 electric cars available, which are maintained by our local Belgian street team. At the six Hotspots, you can park for free, and if you land at Brussel Airport, you can often find an available GreenMobility car and drive to Antwerp in approx. 40 minutes. For now, it is not possible to drive between Denmark and Belgium in a GreenMobility car, just as it is between Denmark and Sweden. If you visit the two cities in Belgium, you can easily use our electric car the same way as in Denmark, and all the cars can be found and opened in the app.

Ghent - the city in the south

Ghent is so far the southernmost city where GreenMobility has been established. Ghent opened on the same day in September 2020 as Antwerp with a grand opening event in Antwerp. There are 50 electric cars available in Ghent and three hotspots where you can park for free.

Helsinki - the most northern city

Helsinki is GreenMobility’s most northern city to date and the capital of Finland. On December the 15th 2020, we launched in Helsinki, and a fleet of electric cars was rolled out on the streets by the local street team. Helsinki has a strong focus on green innovative solutions and was the first to adopt the UN’s goals for sustainable development. Therefore, the city is also a great place for GreenMobility to offer its green and sustainable mobility solution to Helsinki’s more than 600,000 inhabitants.

Brussels - the capital of the EU

In April 2021, GreenMobility opened in the Belgian capital Brussels. Here we have set up some parking spaces with free parking at Brussels Airport, two locations in the city center and one right next to the EU headquarters. So in the future, when you arrive at Brussels airport, you can easily get to the city center. Between our three cities in Belgium, “roaming” applies, which means you can drive our electric cars between the three cities and park the car in a different zone than where you started the journey.

Düsseldorf and Cologne - our latest entries

The newest in the bunch: Dusseldorf and Cologne. We will start with 100 cars, which will be available to the two major cities in the Rhineland. But that’s just the beginning, with up to 300 cars soon to be available. With 8.7 million inhabitants, the Rhineland is the most populous region in Germany.

In 2022, GreenMobility plans to open several new cities.
